Yes it's an atillery supressor. It is used by the Bundeswehr (German Army), because one of the military training grounds is near a village. Here in Germany we have quite strict noise laws over night. So they invented this.
is that near Munster? because i live about 30km from there and we sometimes hear the artillery sound.
