i heard that the spiders that eat or live in the bananas are extremely poisonous. also that they (banana farmers) have to cut down green bananas to keep the spiders from infesting the banana "clump" sorry if my terminally sucks but I don't know much about bananas, only what i learned from my trip to the Dominican Republic.
