I'd say it depends on how much of that money goes into foreign bank accounts. Which leads to in most cases, taxation is theft, only with more steps to it.
Or how much of it goes into ruining/taking other people's lives against your wishes. If 100% of taxes went to education, science, useful public works, and healthcare I'd be much more fine with paying taxes.
A modern State only can work with taxes. Or you want your Army/teachers plastered with advertising?? "This war is sponsored by Nike!"

Only the rich can afford to proclaim "NO TAXES" (After building a 6 meter wall round their estate)
