To be fair, France's "surrender" was the best strategic option they had. With no chance of stopping the German advance, fighting them traditionally would've crippled France's... everything. Instead, "surrender" and "collaborate".
If you can't beat them, join them AND sabotage them from the inside.
Now the war on emus however. You'd think that a land practically filled with all types of critters after yer life, they'd have less trouble with slightly overgrown fowl.
