The F-35 is an overpriced pile of junk! *grabs popcorn*
Considering it's a jack of all trades (and master of none), the F-35 is a really impressive design.
It's still quite lackluster for its pricing ofc, but engineers aren't magicians.
Multirole, specialized performance, not absurdly expensive (which is pretty huge on US military standards).
Pick two.
Wasn't it beaten in a dogfight by an f16?
That's what I meant with "jack of all trades, master of none". The F-35 can do a LOT of different things, but it's beaten at pretty much everything by specialized aircraft.
