It have been a while since we have posted a original news article about the development of the mod so for the few that are still sticking with us we thank...
Greetings, and welcome to Homefront, a total conversion mod for Homeworld 2 set in the Halo universe.
V3LO's old supercarrier model makes a guest appearance in Halo: Escalation Issue #6!
Age of Empires? Halo Wars 2? Viva Pinata? Command and Conquer ?
It's April and that's why we have our April update for this month. Today we showcase you the UNSC Grizzly, Falcon and Cyclops.
Personally, I'm tired of making forge maps alone offline... Why isn't it possible to spawn covenant forces out of the spawn points you can make?
Say for instance, that you wanted a phantom to spawn somewhere in the air, at (x) time with (x) amount of covies.
I would actually love to see the A.I. play around in the various traps I made throughout the maps. Just for kicks! xD. Does anyone else agree? Idk, it's just something I've always thought about...
Because it would be completely impossible.
Care to explain? Elaborate maybe? Ya' know... Since I'm SO incredibly wrong. :/ Because that still isn't telling me why.
Halo relies on complicated and hand made path finding to allow the Covenant and marine units to move about, Bungie has stated on several occasions that because of this they can not allow people to use it in Forge.
I don't claim to have knowledge of Halo's source programming, nor do I feel the need to, thus, my informativeness isn't required on that matter. Naturally, it wouldn't matter how many times they "stated" it. In short, I was only speaking hypothetically.
However, that would make sense. The base path/routes they take could be programmed as map-specific, and copy/pasting these would be out of the question.
This shouldn't rule out the possibility of them hand-making routes for built-in Forge maps, should it?
I remember them saying it takes anywhere from days to weeks just to add the pathfinding to a mission.
why not bots
That is... weird, days to weeks? is it done by hand or cpu? maybe halo 4 has something similar to cryengine 3 where it's easy real time fast and dynamic.
Xbox is retarded.
it would be good if you can command them as well like sending them in first to see if it is a ambush or trap
Then I could also see what would happen if a phantom hits a kill ball. xD
If someone were to put the Pelican and the Longsword into a flying game, what would you guys think?
Unloackable longsword easter egg in a ace combat game, yes please!
Well, I can't do ace combat, but I have a flyable Longsword and Pelican.
I was saying that as a suggestion of sorts,a longsword in a dogfighting game would be really fun.I wasnt saying that you need to make one.Guess I worded my sentence a bit wrong.
But I did put a dog fighting longsword and pelican in to Hawx, they are downloadable now.
did you give the longsword nukes
I am in the deep of hawx modding to figure out how to make new weapons.
i want to be able to fly a proper pelican and phantom as it was just a easter egg in halo reach but i want it to be avaliable in multiplayer and forge as then we can make awesome videos and make it look like a actual military insertion
That is the most genius thing I've ever heard anyone say, EVER 0_o.
