343 Industries reveal Halo 4 is coming in 2012, but is it coming to the Xbox 360 or its successor?
At the close of Microsoft’s E3 conference Don Mattrick rounded things off with an explosive trailer for Halo 4. The first game in the series to be developed by 343 Industries and not Bungie the trailer opened to reveal a star cluster that later turned out to be the insides of the Master Chiefs slumbering body.
As his heart rate increased, we could here the cries for help from Cortana. As John 117’s heart started the trailer revealed that he was still in the cryo tub he entered at the end of Halo 3. As the ship began disintegrating around him, he grabbed Cortana and started to exit the ship.

With half of it already destroyed from the climax of Halo 3, Master Chief fired boosters from his back and grabbed some sort of attachment for his rifle before staring out into space and onto what looked to be yet another Forerunner station, like the original Halo rings.
With a release date of ‘Holiday 2012’ revealed, Microsoft didn’t show what console the game would be released on. Obviously, an Xbox of some sort, but it wasn’t confirmed at the trailers end that Halo 4 would on the 360.
Halo 4 is the beginning of a new trilogy for the series and will focus on a new and far more dagerous enemy than the Covenant.
