Hey all, Gunship here with some new news about Half-Life 2 : Enhanced Mod Version 2.
It's time to show something new and something original. So, let's get started!
In new version i will try to replace ALL effects with new particles, now i am working on explosion effect, work in progress for now.
Also i am now working on muzzleflash particles :
Static Images will not show all what i need to show, so here is a quick simple video :
Here is small TODO List :
- New Combine AR2 Ball Explosion effect.
- New MuzzleFlash effects for all NPC's.
- Some new particle effects for gravity gun, like particle beams on Portal 2 Portal Device.
- Diffirent Explosions for All explosives in game.
- Dynamic Content Mounting - So you can mount any Half-Life 2 Based Game ( HL2:EP1, HL2:EP2, HL2 ) and play it with new particles and other stuff from this mod.
Of course this mod will have something another, not just new particles, but i will think on that later, if i want to add some stuff i need to not ruin Half-Life Gameplay and Atmosphere.

Explosions like from COD:BO, anyway, good job.
They did look familiar, almost reminded me of late 90's explosions, love them so much!

I think an explosion looks like an explosion, regardless of what else has an explosion that looks similar.

iit looks simmilar. but i thought it looked like just cause 2,s explosion. i have it on pc. it gets like 40 fps maxed

Why the **** would GMod have a updated effect version of EP2? Plus, sandbox messes up HL levels.
Well, i don't have G-Mod, if i have it i'd tried to import them, for machinmas, for another Gmod movies.
Garrysmod has updated explosions and effects anyway... Just go on the downloads website and look for them. Not that difficult.
Huh.. really nice flashs there!
What i also like much is the explosion which is a good change from the generic boom i see in Half-life mods since years^^
Now i just hope you'll make some real nice effect for the glowing Crossbow-bolt
Maybe you want to add the effect schown in this video from 0:30-0:50

I'm not a fan of the assault rifle (2) muzzle flash :/ It's too blue :P
If you line up several gas barrels and set them of fire or just 'splode them really fast you'd get something like a Michel Bay movie.

i agree. sandbox messed up the hl levels.cause i was playing ravenholme and i was on the 4th save and it restarted and plus some objects misssing or missing characters.
