Unbelievable, how it was to look like.
Most locations here are cut or changed.
The long journey through the wasteland, where Gordon should encounter some wasterland-scanners, Xen/Combine aliens, etc. was completely removed from the game to shorten it.
Wasteland better than coast

100%, can you believe that the small coastal area was the only really open area in HL2?
In early stages, there were about 10 different open-world levels...
