Someone can adapt this models for Mow ? Tf3dm.com
And it's not a clone, it's an improved version of the engine with a few extra features.
All I see is what can already be accomplished by experienced modders (take a look around at a few profiles of the people in this group, you'll see with ENB and some modding savvy, you can make a scene almost identical to the one in that video), nothing stands out to me and nothing in that video nor your comment counters what I posted. DMS forums go down once in awhile and rarely come back up because DMS really doesn't give a **** about community, nor is their game going to be setting any new ground not already covered by modders here ;)
Can modders add multi-core support to the engine? Now I don't expect much to come of it seeing as they still use the same outdated animations and core mechanics, but they did mention some interesting features such as dynamic squad icons based on squad loadout (such as marking out what squads have rocket launchers for example) and weapon customization that if they do go through with it, would mean true underbarrel weapons such as grenade launchers could be made as part of a single weapon.
I for one would welcome the latter feature for Men of the Emperor, as it would enable the creation of plenty of wargear. You'd think people would be happy with DMS actually adding stuff instead of making lackluster add-ons like MoW:V or MoW:CH.
I wasn't pleased with the addons such as vietnam or condemned heroes either, it was quite obviously just an attempt by 1C to milk the franchise as much as they could, but honestly DMS don't give a **** about community, and what has been said, and what will eventually be in the release versions can vary greatly (just take a look at any of the early announcements and info about any game and compare it to the end product).
Multicore support? No, of course modders can't add that with the current tools, they/we don't have access to the sourcecode, but call to arms is hardly advancement in my book. Also note that you've picked on one part of my original post (which was the footnote, the minor part), and ignored the main part, that DMS is about as **** as they come when it comes to community interaction and support, right down there with Atari to be honest. I mean they can't even keep forums online for more than 2 years straight without a huge break of half year or more, there is basically zero interaction from the developers when it comes to modders and the community, is it any wonder that they're at less than 15% of their first milestone goal after...how many months?
I don't know, I guess maybe I've been spoiled by the likes of Paradox Development Studio and how much they interact and support modding of their products, right down to actually talking with modders over skype/steam...
Was talking only about Call to Arms, I fully agree with you about DMS not giving a steaming pile of pixels about us.
