would gem 2 engine still read a file if I changed it from type97.weapon, to type97.mgun? I'm trying to apply icons to the files so any files with the extension .mgun will have a machinegun icon, while files with .weapon at the end will have a rifle as an icon.

My graphics card f'ed up yesterday, and somehow it says "Your video card does not meet the minimum system requirements. For more details, see the User Guide" I'm like wtf, then again the pc is refurbished, and currently waiting to get a new one from amazon -_-. So in the meantime trying to edit the game, by making the files identifiable by giving them all icons and editing them without even launching the exe.

as far as I have seen gem editor supports .set .pattern .weapon .inc .bullet .ammo

Hey gents, does anyone know why 3ds max wouldn't be exporting certain models with textures? The model itself exports fine, but the textures themselves refuse to export with them. I have no idea what the problem is. The textures are dds, not that it mattes I guess.

Maybe you didn't apply them to the model correctly, you nee to do it manually.

Your best bet would be opening the mission in the editor, and seeing how the developers did it. I'm assuming you understand the basics of missions making, the editor, and where everything is located.

That's just what I've been doing for the last few years. You could always try asking on Digital Mind Soft's forums.
