I'm assuming this a carry over from the semi-discussion about the historial accuracy/inaccuracy of CoH:2 right?
Well whatever, all I'm gonna say here is that the big 3 allied powers are greater than the sum of their parts. (any group of players playing multiplayer online/on the lan would know what I'm talking about).
Oh look, a related forum. o.O

Come on, you know you want to. >.>
My history class rarely ever talked about the Soviets in WW2 only that they had a lot of deaths. My history teacher actually though that Band of Brothers was a good representation of the war and showed it to us. The Soviets single handedly defeated the entire German Empire, while the Allies were only mosquito bites on the German Empire. Out of every 20 German soldiers killed, 8 of them were killed on the Eastern Front.
The Soviets did the most in WW2, they had to repel the full force of the German army and then conquered through all of eastern Europe almost single-handedly, they lost over 20 million people, and they conquered the most of Germany, they are underrated for their efforts and deserve most credibility than the Americans do because after dealing with Germany the Russians went and helped the Americans in Asia fighting Japan so they did the most.
Generally the Soviets were the heavy lifters during WW2. I think the reason that they're often not mentioned is because few history teachers want to praise Stalin for helping in WW2 when he killed more people than Hitler while treating prisoners and partisans as dirt and refusing to let liberated countries have the right to self determination.
So yeah, they pulled more than their share of the load, but also committed an awful lot of bad stuff before, during and after the war that taints their reputation.
Many people tend to ignore the contributions made by Russia and China during WW2. Russia turned the tide in Europe at the Battle of Stalingrad, and eventually forced the German ranks all the way back to Berlin. China inflicted the vast majority of Japan's military casualties, despite facing problems such as widespread malnutrition, a corrupt government (The KMT), outdated equipment, and fighting both the Japanese military (freaking huge, with over 4,000,000 military units and nearly 2,000,000 militia stationed in China alone) as well as waging a three-way civil war. Had Russia not forced back the German ranks, Europe, Northern Africa, Britain, and perhaps even the Middle East would have crumbled before the Third Reich. Had China not driven back the Japanese war machine, Japan would have smashed through India and Southeast Asia (maybe even Australia too), and would have accomplished it's objective of establishing a colonial empire in Asia.
What a shame the enormous miltary contributions of both Russia and China are continually glossed over by the history books.
The USSR fought nearly 80% of the German Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS and auxiliaries forces. Liberated more terrain than the Western forces and had placed the final nail in the Third Reich' coffin.
Furthermore, they were one of the first to intervene during the beginning months of the Second Sino-Japanese War on the KMT side, providing war equipment and proven medium bomber aircrafts. They knocked the last remains of Imperial Japanese's prized elite Kwantung Army in just 60 days, finally ending Japanese presence in Chinese territories. Also, the USSR made the biggest friend ever, the Chinese and nearly could had occupied Japan if it weren't for a certain captain's failure to arrive quickly with minelayer ships. If the mines would be placed, Inchon landing would probably never occur.
