At the resent Democratic debate Bernie Sanders actually said that white people don't know what it is like to be poor!?!?!?

Midst talking about the disparity between whites and blacks, Senator Sanders said, "(whites) ...don't know what its like to be poor..." while referring to ghettos in the US which are majority-black impoverished communities.
"...of course I understand that he didn't really mean that all white people don't know what it is like to be poor..."
