Exists in name only since its seriously outdated and not a... Effective combat platform.
What are you talking about lol? It's a police force. It's not meant for combat. It's meant to keep order and enforce laws.
Also lots of countries use still use mounted police. They're good at controlling crowds because most people find a horse much more intimidating than a motorcycle.
I see them all the time at large public gatherings like protests, parades and sporting events here in the US.
