Post news Report RSS 1v1 Kessel Rebels

Again tips for Rebels in 1v1. And again many ways to start rushing. =) I wrote some common starting tactics.

When your fighters are on the middle left and right you should leave 1 fighter group to secure the pirate station. And if there are no enemy fighters on the left side you should consider to build a turret and a mine. But, continue up on both sides do not leave your attack here. And if there are enemies on the left side or even building mine just continue up and check fast if there is mine. If there is a mine destroy it fast with fighters and go again to middle and destroy the mine what enemy was building.

When doing all this on the left side you must also control you fighters on the right. Ok, you left one fighter group to pirate station (s-foils closed) and other is going up. Now if you have money and enemy haven't build base turret you should build it (all turrets are marked yellow on the second picture). Otherwise you have to send more fighters to destroy the mine. Now move your fighters where they are needed.

It's a good tactic to leave 1 fighter group to the corners of the map so you can send reinforcements faster. If enemy is building mine you can take it down in few seconds. Especially top left and bottom right mines. And also top right if you haven't/can't build the enemy base turret.

This is the situation what you want:

Even though your Geonosis tactic was out of wack, I admit this one is what you are supposed to do on Kessel :D But I can't tell, In the second picture. Also, to what Noobios said about your base turret. NEVER buy it, Good players can just micro the ties and where the placement of the turret is, It won't be able to kill the ties. So use that $ you save from a turret and buy fighters.

Grammar fail. Ignore the "But I can't tell, In the second picture"

Yes it's true about the turret that probably won't kill the Ties. That's why I again write that you should think about it. Against average player you should really consider about buying it. Average opponent starts to micro and usually fails to see what is happening elsewhere, if average opponent even starts microgaming. You can just relax and concentrate elsewhere. Seen that many times. And when you start to feel "pro" you can forget the turret. You are again missing the point that these are 1v1 tips for new players.

I get the point it is for new players, But the way I teach players, I teach them as if they were Vsing a better player or a "pro", It helps players that way get better faster. I'm not saying the way you do it is ****. It's just where we have different teaching methods.

I agree. Feel free to post your own tactical tutorials. There is never one correct way of doing something(some tactics are just better than others sometimes), that is why we play video games. To experience ever changing tactics when playing against human players and try to adapt.

Nawh, This is the tactic I normally use on kessel, I have a few others but they are not as effective as this one. I was just saying to never buy your base turret. That's all.
