Yesterday afternoon, Steam unleashed its brand new Greenlight system. Greenlight allows any game developer to post their content, and if the community rates it high enough, Steam will accept the game to be sold there. It's a method that they hope will involve gamers directly in telling Steam what they want to buy. Edge of Space has certainly made it's mark, with over 22,000 unique views in less than 24 hours, but even that accomplishment has only achieved 1% of the necessary votes. You can check out the Greenlight page for the details:
The games first complete trailer video was also rolled out for the occasion, and it does not disappoint! Included in the footage is the first video of the much heralded mechs in action, as well a look at the first boss to be shown to the public. Fans also get a look at the newly implemented gas simulation, which developer Jake promises that he has "evil things" planned for. The latest Kickstarter update, found here: Kickstarter.com tells us that beta testers will soon be experiencing the exciting new features first hand!
