If you LOVE classic DOS games and still play them in DOS then why not be here! This is a group dedicated to those who grew up in the DOS era of PC gaming and watched it evolve throughout the 80s and 90s. Good, LEGAL sites to hit for DOS Games:
If you downloaded the installer, you may have faced a small problem
A Compilation I've composed which covers the legendary RPG Milestone, Ultima. Part 1 covers the first 3 games which make up the age of darkness.
The new version polishes Windows 7 compatibility and improves on the OPL, CDROM and video emulation further.
New version brings us a new OPL FM emulation core, more graphics modes and plenty of fixes.
I know this was way overdo... but at least it is done!
Does this particular group apply to old games on different platforms during the DOS era, or just specifically DOS-only games?
I'm referencing to games like Marathon, specifically :P
Marathon's a MAC game
so no
I remember that once I got Duke Nukem 3d, I ran out of free disc space. Now when I think about it seems hillarious. I still play games like Beneath a steel sky and Dreamweb. Those are great if you ask me. And there's the Gobliiins series. I heard (and saw the official website) that Goblins 4 is in the making.
Any game and every game, EGA, SVGA, VGA.. 256color 8bit glory! :D DosBox FTW!
Shadow Warrior, Duke Nukem, Doom, Wolf 3D all favs of mine. I remember creating Dos boot disks so I could allocate the right amount of memory to be able to play the damn game!
I still have an old machine, just for that =]
Please do not link to warez sites in this group.
Really? It's an warez site? I didn't know honestly. The games that are still on sale are listed there, but not downloadable.
"Good intention abandonware museums" are still warez sites no matter how you look at them.
Classicdosgames.com follows my kind of veins.
