The Singleplayer will be way better than the Multiplayer, id Software knows what they are doing even though the Original Team has Long Departed.
I'm liking it. Sure the sounds are not particularly good, and the music isn't my kind of tea (deathstep, more dubstep than metal), the pistol looks particularly wimpy, but the gameplay looks pretty good for the most part. The game offers the option of turning off the ''glow'' on the enemies that can be executed. The gore I'm half-and-half on.. the only thing that bothers me is the lack of mod tools. If the game does end up being **** that would really sting.
1: Agreed, Pure Metal Music would have been way more Fitting.
2: Hopefully all the Weapons will be Useful to the Very End like in Half-Life & Unreal, and won't be made Redundant by Better Weapons like in the Original Doom & Quake Games.
3: Yeah I'm kinda Saddened by the Lack of Propper Modding Tools, but hopefully the PC Master Race will find a Workaround for that.
I hate watching gameplays of fast-paced games being played with a controller, it just feels so strange. It also kind of takes away some of the 'fastness' from it. I don't know how people can do it.
