Retroverse, Transphoria, GUNS and ROBOTS and The Saga of Ryzom make up your favorite Friday Boyband!

Posted by Henley on Nov 8th, 2013

Friday is back once more! This time we will rock your socks off with four fantastic -and free- games for your Friday!

Retroverse is up first! This game is a 2D action adventure game with rogue-like elements. Escape a prison while collecting gems, killing guards, acquiring powerups, and saving other prisoners along the way. Next game to make a splash is Transphoria, a 2 player co-op survival shooter. 3 levels. 3 weapons. Play over LAN for CO-OP. Heal and help your buddy and shoot off body parts! Gross but free gross, so that makes it ok.

Blazing a new trail into your Freedom frontier is GUNS and ROBOTS. A free-to-play online shooter in which players assemble funny looking, yet deadly robots. The game blends fun, inventive character design and deep customization features. Players are provided with exciting situations during variety of maps. Too many guns? Need a break from all the bullets? Try our next fresh freedom game The Saga of Ryzom! One of the best ROLE PLAYING MMORPG's of the moment, is set more than 2000 years in the future, on a living, evolving world: beautiful Atys!

Tune in next week for 100% moar Freedom!

It'd be nice if you could add the supported platforms right here in the article, to save me the frustration of looking at Windows-only games.

But either way, I started looking forwards to fridays, even though I already know most of the interesting games you're posting here.

Yeah, I mean, it's understandable that they feature more MS Windows games, since Windows still has the major desktop market share, but it'd be a really nice addition if they'd told us freedom lovers whether they're talking about Windows/Mac, or about free environments.
For some, that really makes a difference (even if you can run Windows games on Wine).

I will see what I can do, a lot of the time this is based on new free games we get during the week, so it depends on what we get.

I didn't say that I only want games compatible with GNU/Linux, just that you state wether they're compatible with one of the OSs.
I understand that you're very busy with more important stuff, but a "(L/M/W)" for example after the game name wouldn't be too much trouble?

To make it perfectly clear: I'm not asking for Freedom Fridays featuring only really free games. I'm just asking for the Freedom Friday articles adding the supported platforms for the respective games in the article.

Thanks a ton for featuring my game! Sorry that it's Windows-only... I really wish I had the time to port it to MonoGame.
