What is it about?
It is about capturing Darkout's essence, the beauty of light and dark contrast, the colours, fear of the shadows, mystic smoke, charming crystals, upto the complex constructions made by our game's nature or by your own hands... everything can fit in a screenshot! and also will be really cool to have a brief description where you explain how you got there, how hard it is go make that structure, etc.Why we do this?
Because we want to show the world how beautiful and unique this game can be and also how YOU, our beloved Darkout community members, areWhat you will get?
- The three most voted screenshots will receive a Darkout soundtrack, courtesy of our brilliant musician and composer Daniel Sadowski.
- For the winner: We will contact him/her and ask him for an email of the friend he wants us to send the free copy to, and a custom message for the person. So we will send a free Darkout copy to the person he tells us, along with his winning screenshot and the dedication message.
- For all the participants: All of you will get your pic featured on our Facebook page and Twitter account, visible along with their names and a link they can provide us with.
How it will work?
You will only have to follow the next steps:1a-You will have to "like" our facebook page (Facebook.com) and send us a direct message to the page with your image description, link and also your screenshot attached (maximum 2 pics per person and week).
1b-You can also post your screenshots and description here on the forums creating your own thread on this subforum(we will also count the number of likes your post gets on the forums).
1c-You can also tweet your screenshots and description with the hashtag #DarkoutGameContest1 and we will track how many retweets it gets
2-Then we will save your pic and publish it on our Facebook page during next day. In order of arrival. Maximum 2 screenshots per person and contest, so be careful which one you submit
3-One week after you submit the screenshot we will close the votings for your screenshot and write your score (FB likes+shares+retweets+Forum likes) below this post.
And then first and second that gets more votes from the ones submitted during the same week will be awarded!**: That means this first contest ends in two weeks, since the last moment when you can post a pic is next Sunday 24th of February, having the whole next week to gather votes from the rest of the community members.

You will have to create a folder named "screenshots" in your installation folder located at:
\ALLGRAF\Darkout\game\data
Then you will only have to press Ctrl+P and a you will have a game snapshot in that folder.

Hi darkouters, now we are released, and after seeing some awesome screenshots that you came up with over last days, we decided to start out a 2 weeks long competition to see how creative, skilled and good observers you are in Darkout world.
