So then Barack Obama has declaered "I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president — with...
Hello. Many Americans today can agree that our situation is horrible and is worse than when we had Bush.
Well ive been thinking of starting this group for a while, but what made meactualy start it was Headhunter128s stupidity and insults he thinks Obama is...
I am a Right-Wing anti-hippie, anti-communist, pro-life, and in some cases authoritarian, I believe in the death penalty for murder and drug possession (Singaporean Policy) in all cases, no exceptions, and I believe in the removal of "Juvenile Charges", everyone should be tried equally.
I also believe in the death penalty and the removal of juvenile charges, but with abortion I think the decision should be up to the parents, not to the government.
Abortion eh? Let me ask you something. Why is it that in the medical community you are considered dead when your heart stops but a child is not considered alive when their heart starts in the womb?
in addition, if a pregnant woman is driving a car and hit by a drunk driver hits her car and kills her he is charged with two counts of murder, but if that same woman drives to an abortion clinic and terminates the baby it is not considered murder, but trust me there is no hypocrisy (obvious sarcasm)
Yes, that is very true. However, no one should ban or support it, it should be a personal decision of whether the parents can support the child, no one else's. I wouldn't say it is murder, but it isn't totally right either.
True, but it is not your decision to make, it is only up to the parents, and if they don't/do support it, then they can decide the baby's fate. 'To each his own' is a great saying in personal matters like this.
Because they're actually considered dead when the brain stops. Yuri, this isn't a life vs death argument, it's a life vs existence argument.
imo It should be up to the person bearing the child, not the parents. None of us are women as far as I know, and none of us could possibly empathize with the people in these situations, so we aught to keep our mouths shut about this issue- it isn't our fight.
The teenage brain uses a completely different part of the brain to make decisions- a less reasonable portion, so juvenile charges are scientifically backed.
Pretty messed up to kill a 16 year old for smoking pot. They'll dig their own hole- they dont need to go to jail
Your ideals (Park) are against habeas corpus- unconstitutional- my point is that our system can accommodate for people like you, while also inadvertently directing you away from representation in government. Gotta love the states man ;)
I am South Korean, our nation was better with my ideals.
In Singapore, the nation that I base my drug policy on, it has one of the lowest drug rates in the world because they don't have a culture that promotes and tolerates it like the US's. But, I also believe every person has the right to a chance to life, that is why I am against abortion in most cases, not in the case of rape or incest.
That's what I meant; the mother decides. I always get mad when people say, "BAN ABORTION". If they don't like it, they shouldn't do it. The mother of the child should decide, no one else.
My ideas are 'unconstitutional'. I guess it's true... What is your opinion on gun control?
Yes, the teenage brain (and mine I guess) is different then normal. However, being addicted drugs is the user's fault, even when someone else told them to "try it". You could always stop.
Oh sorry, I read what you wrote completely differently.
Gun control? Relaxed policy. We should have better screening for who gets guns (ill elaborate)-Plenty of countries have guns and very few murders- imo is a culture problem, not a "gun law" problem. Not enough people respect or understand firearms, so my idea would be to allow civilians who want to get a gun to have classes, preferably by trained military. They should pay for these classes out of pocket, but we can also allow for financial support programs.
In my ideal nation, we would be teaching kids about guns in schools just like sex- instead of turning our heads and shunning gun culture as if it is a crime against humanity.
We must admit that we have a problem though, we have far too many murders in this country because of our fear culture (and that isnt just guns, a majority of murders are with blunt weapons)
There is also way too much stigma in the US against people with mental health disorders- and people constantly deny they are flawed- we need better health care.
I'd socialize that.
I also think people should meditate. Everyone likes to either make fun of that or simply dismiss it, but it is the best way to be at peace in your own mind, and become a wise and less destructive human being.
And hell, if I trust a guy with a pistol, I may as well trust him with assault weapons.-this would just require even more screening-which is easy for a small percent of the population. just like buying an 18 wheeler ^^
...Have you ever had an addiction? It's nothing like a compulsion- quitting something cold turkey is absolute hell- and I have a profound amount of respect for anyone who can do that.
Socialist healthcare is awful.
I mean healthcare needs to at least be regulated and subsidized, rendering them into government funded non-profits.
NOBODY should die of any preventable diseases EVER, no matter what their economic status is.
When it comes to drugs, check out Portugal's policies.
It's a lot freer, and it requires no taxation-
my idea here would literally pull money out of our fruitless drug war, and pour it into saving human lives.
+just because something is legal doesn't mean everyone will do it.
Yes, I agree with that. As the NRA states, the only thing stopping a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. Besides, now guns are being 3D printed with no serial code, so how is the gov going to stop that?
I have never been addicted drug-wise, but still, they know the risk and accepted it. Totally their fault.
That's just it. Most people don't. Not everyone has good health education, and what may be considered stupid to us, may be completely normal to other people. It's a matter of perspective.
I am a right libertarian. Anyone else want to share their views?
Who you voted in ze Elections?
I'm not old enough to vote, but I would've chose Romney. America needs a rich person who knows how to manage money to get us out of all this debt.
I'd say rich people should be viewed with a good amount of suspicion. I don't want a "crook"(lolnixon) to be the president of the united states. Both parties are completely out of hand, and I'm angry at how stupid our elections are becoming.
I don't care who the president is so long as they elect some honest supreme court justices.
Now that I've established that, I know for sure that deregulation can only cause trouble for the economy (we had the EXACT same attitude before the great depression "hurrhurr free the markets yay money for everyone woooo")
I favor social+foreign policy libertarian ideals, but when it comes to the economy and money, too much has gone wrong in the past for us to trust a "free market"
Though, I do think our regulatory programs are in desperate need of some regulation.. XD
True, but for me a free market, despite the unreal amount of money for the 1%, is 'fair'.
Nothing is 'fair'. those are the makings of a harsh, unforgiving, loveless world. Only we can change this- and it is far easier to change than we think.
Regulation is the only way for us to prevent things such as the great depressions. A capitalist economy will always have it's ups and downs- and the freer the market, the harsher those ups and downs will be. The point is to find a good balance of market and federal regulation to allow growth, but also cushion us from depression/recession.
The consumer eras of the 1950's and early 20's are simply not sustainable- and have required the military industrial complex to bail us out. I for one, see it as immoral to kill or simply fear another group of human beings simply to protect a tangential economy. I opt in favor of moderation, and I hope more Americans in the future make a similar decision.
Of course, we should not over expand federal powers- there's no telling what kind of horrors that could bring about...
