The Clone Wars have always been, in and of themselves, from their very inception, the revenge of the Sith. They were irresistible bait. They took place in remote locations, on planets that belonged, primarily, to "somebody else." They were fought by expendable proxies. And they were constructed as a win-win situation. The Clone Wars were the perfect Jedi trap. By fighting at all, the Jedi lost. With the Jedi Order overextended, spread thin across the galaxy, each Jedi is alone, surrounded only by whatever clone troops he, she, or it commands.

War itself pours darkness into the Force, deepening the cloud that limits Jedi perception. And the clones have no malice, no hatred, not the slightest ill intent that might give warning. They are only following orders. In this case, Order 66. Hold-out blasters appear in clone hands. ARC-170s drop back onto the tails of Jedi starfighters. AT-STs swivel their guns. Turrets on hovertanks swing silently. Clones open fire, and Jedi die. All across the galaxy. All at once. Jedi die.
-The war was named after the clone troopers utilized by the Republic against the battle droid forces of the CIS. These armies, the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Droid Army, were two of the largest ever pitted against each other in galactic history, and the fighting between them rapidly spread to countless inhabited worlds. Beginning with the First Battle of Geonosis, both sides scored significant victories over the other, and at different times during the war either seemed likely to triumph.

The death of the Confederate Head of State Count Dooku during the Battle of Coruscant and that of the Confederate General Grievous during the Battle of Utapau, coupled with the issue of Order 66 and the deactivation of the droid army, brought an end to the fighting. At the time, it was the largest galactic conflict to date.
-
Unbeknownst to most of those involved, the conflict was started, maintained, and eventually ended by the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, whose ultimate goal was the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire with him as Emperor as well as the eradication of the Jedi Order through the Great Jedi Purge. The conflict led to the Order of the Sith Lords controlling the dominant galactic government.

I've heard some rather disturbing rumors lately. I regretfully inform you that we'll probably never see that bonus content(as if a few story arcs could cheer us up, while we should have been given 8 season, instead TCW may have ended abruptly after season 5). It's so sad, can anyone cheer me up, I'd like to see Snips again. :(

The Clone Wars TV series has shown me such great things and most importantly it showed me how marvelous SW universe really is, I mean, this mythology, symbols, never-ending story, great characters, it all just... I've become a true fan, I'm really grateful Dave and George created Snips, she's such a fantastic and amiable character, I'm here, because she's given me so many reasons to read up on Clone Wars. I'm sorry for being sentimental, but we may be witnessing the very end of TCW era and I'm just so sad. :(

Calling all clone wars fans

Jedinews.co.uk

We’re hearing, along with our friends at RebelForce Radio, that The Clone Wars team at Lucasfilm will be disbanded imminently and this is our VERY last chance so save The Clone Wars. We were one of the first to break the news that The Clone Wars had ended and we want to be part of the group of fans that helps save it – even if it’s only a direct to Blu-ray/DVD release.

The remaining episodes that are finished or in part-production do NOT in any way wrap up the fates of the Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress and many others. If you want these stories to be told that we must act NOW as a community before it’s too late – time is NOT on our side.

Send letters NOW to Bob Iger, Kathleen Kenedy and George Lucas asking for a conclusion, leading into the events of Revenge of the Sith, at the addresses below.
•Bob Iger – Disney Studios, 500 S Buena Vista St, Burbank, CA 91521
•Kathleen Kennedy – Lucasfilm, P.O. Box 29901, San Francisco, CA 94129-0901
•George Lucas – P.O. Box 2009, San Rafael, CA 94912

The next few days really are our LAST CHANCE to save The Clone Wars and to ensure our voices as a community are heard – the time is NOW – get writing, comment on Facebook, Tweet about it – let’s ensure, as a community, we see a fitting ending to The Clone Wars (please keep your letters polite and respectful!)
