The Clone Wars have always been, in and of themselves, from their very inception, the revenge of the Sith. They were irresistible bait. They took place in remote locations, on planets that belonged, primarily, to "somebody else." They were fought by expendable proxies. And they were constructed as a win-win situation. The Clone Wars were the perfect Jedi trap. By fighting at all, the Jedi lost. With the Jedi Order overextended, spread thin across the galaxy, each Jedi is alone, surrounded only by whatever clone troops he, she, or it commands.

War itself pours darkness into the Force, deepening the cloud that limits Jedi perception. And the clones have no malice, no hatred, not the slightest ill intent that might give warning. They are only following orders. In this case, Order 66. Hold-out blasters appear in clone hands. ARC-170s drop back onto the tails of Jedi starfighters. AT-STs swivel their guns. Turrets on hovertanks swing silently. Clones open fire, and Jedi die. All across the galaxy. All at once. Jedi die.

-The war was named after the clone troopers utilized by the Republic against the battle droid forces of the CIS. These armies, the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Droid Army, were two of the largest ever pitted against each other in galactic history, and the fighting between them rapidly spread to countless inhabited worlds. Beginning with the First Battle of Geonosis, both sides scored significant victories over the other, and at different times during the war either seemed likely to triumph.

The death of the Confederate Head of State Count Dooku during the Battle of Coruscant and that of the Confederate General Grievous during the Battle of Utapau, coupled with the issue of Order 66 and the deactivation of the droid army, brought an end to the fighting. At the time, it was the largest galactic conflict to date.

Unbeknownst to most of those involved, the conflict was started, maintained, and eventually ended by the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, whose ultimate goal was the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire with him as Emperor as well as the eradication of the Jedi Order through the Great Jedi Purge. The conflict led to the Order of the Sith Lords controlling the dominant galactic government.

I just finished season 6 and for the most part I was happy. Many things really tied in to Revenge of the Sith except as Elf mentioned the duel against Dooku with Obi Wan and Anakin should not be the last duel before they go in to the movie one where Obi says this time we will do it together. Because of this they should have had a duel in which they get seperated but I would like to think if they finished the season they would have done that.
The Jar jar one was pointless. Would have made more sense if the queen did in fact die as the Galaxy dioes plunge in to darkness. The Chancellor taking over the banking clan and the jedi putting more of the puzzle to gether and Yoda learning of Qui Gon and training to become one with the force all makes sense to me. The Jedi did seem to realize in ROTS that their was a lot going on around them that points to the sith and they were in a trap. They were also very suspicious of the Chancellor if you remember Obi Wan talking to Anakin about keeping an eye on the Chancellor. They still trusted the men with whom they have fought beside for so many years and that trust is obvious all through the show and in ROTS and the order 66 scene really makes them seem to respond almost robot like which makes the chip in their head make more sense to me rather instead of them simply turning on them without question.

the only shame is that they didn't round of the Darth maul story. But at least they are giving fans the opportunity to see what becomes of him though alternative media. And come to think of it they never said what happened to Rex ethier.

Rex is going to be in Rebels. Since they discovered the chip I would be willing to guess they will say Rex removed his chip and did not participate in order 66.

Okay I finished season 6 and I am deeply disappointed...

It felt like the entire season was half-assed and full of plotholes wide enough for a Super Star Destroyer to fit through. They completely threw lore out the window in this season!

I liked the explanation to Sifo-Dyas's death and what happened as even though I could have pieced it together myself there were still some holes which season 6 filled in. But that was the only part of this season I can say I enjoyed. I guess I liked Fives but his ending was far too tragic and if the Jedi had this many hints as to what would happen I'm sure they would have figured out who the enemy was.

What I hated the most though is when Anakin and Obiwan fought Dooku TOGETHER!! Like WTF! That completely contradicts, "THIS TIME we will do it TOGETHER." That quote implies that in the past they never fought him in a synchronized manner and ended up dueling Dooku one on one...

There were other plotholes which I hated and would rant on and on about but it's late and I need to rest. (Almost 3am if you're wondering and my spelling and grammar begin to shut down at about 12)

Why do Gungans have the technology to build cities under water, build submarines, energy shields and weapons like boomas but cant make ground vehicles like cars and tanks? If they cant make ground vehicles why don't they purchase them from other nations?

Well I suppose since the gungans prefer to be underwater and they are not planning to conquer anyone. They neither need or want a land army or cities.

We build ships and submarines even though we don't live underwater. You don't need to have intention of conquering to build vehicles such as cars, trucks and tanks. Are Gungans militaristic and do they threaten the Naboo for being on their planet like North Korea threatens South Korea or how Arabs and Iran threaten Israel for occupying Palestine?

Heh, I did think of all those points myself. It's complicated, huh? Well that's what geeks do! :)

My explanation is what I wrote. They don't want a huge land presence. Sure we have submarines, but what are they mainly associated with? War.
Gungans helped out in the opening of season four, that was underwater. All other fights have been on Naboo so they aren't really the big warrior race.
Rish Loo (in season four's "Shadow Warrior" used a speeder though.

Gungans also have a Starfighter called the G-1 Starwars.wikia.com yet they don't have ground vehicles? Even though they don't go on land often wouldn't they have ground vehicles just in case they do sometimes? How would they get around in their big underwater cities, by train, tram or monorail? Many nations don't have a large naval presence but they still have boats and subs of some kind, they don't say "We don't need boats but if we need to go in the water we will ride the dolphins and whales." Subs aren't just for war. I have made a fanfic about the Gungans becoming more industrialized under a communist government, the former Boss government being a backwater like Russia during WWI. I based the story off of the Soviet Union. Moddb.com
