(NOTE: This is not a group for the bashing, belittling, or debunking of other people's beliefs).
Peace be with you.
A story, a moral, a game, and a question no one wants to answer.
A poem reminding us to be thankful for the little things in life.
An article about why atheism isn't a logical viewpoint and why I'm Christian.
We Christian brothers and sisters need to shape up.
This article contains a very interesting debate between evolutionist and creationist beliefs and is meant as support and encouragement for Christians...
Its not that I don't believe in the power of God. I do, its just I am a scientist I was raised to think scientifically and to think logically. its not that God couldn't make a human in one day. I just don't believe that God did. I don't see a world of puppets but a world of dynamic change and diversity. Everytime a see a dog or walk through a herd of cattle I see evolution. all the breeds originally came from one but was changed by humans to fit are needs. This is man made evolution. SO if humans do it, than to say God can't is not only insulting but also heretical, for it is claim that man is superior to God. And i have read non evolutionary texts books. O and by the way my exact area of study I am working to get into is the study of the evolution of early hominids though i do now much about the evolution of birds as well. so don't try to tell me that it doesn't make sense or that its full of holes because I know more about the subject than you will every know.
God bless you and have a nice day
But how can you truly say you know about the subject than me? I spent years studying science too and that included evolution. I even read about evolution years before my school started teaching it.
because its my field of study and I have been studying about evolutionary studies and Paleontological studies since I was 7. Both my parents have advanced degrees in similar subjects so this is as you can guess the main subject at home. Mabye you do no alot about the subject, but the truth is every uneducated yahoo claims to know everything about the subject when they know nothing. And I have to deal with that every day. My problem with you has nothing to do with christainity or how much you know about evolution, My problem is I am a CHRISTIAN, but you have acted as if I am an atheist and an idiot, you have talked down to me as if I know nothing about my own beliefs. I do not go around claiming art is stuipid and that artists are lying conartists trying to turn people from God, but you have clearly made it sound that the people in my field do. I have been respectful of your beliefs yet you have shown NO respect for mine. I jioned this group because it was a place were christains could stand together and not be critizied for there beliefs. apparently that is no longer the case.
I wouldn't say he can't, I just don't believe he did. But, hey, I wasn't there, so what do I know? It's just what I believe ;)
I see god as a clock maker, the old style clocks. God is the craftsman of this clock (the Universe). God created the clock with all its wonder. designed to run independently with a few tweeks to increase performance now and then. Thats how I see God
Anyone else see God as an artist, designer, creator and sculpture? I see him as that more than anything else.
Pardon my language but that's pure BS right there. They've proven God doesn't exist? Excuse me while I choke to death laughing.
Ahem. Now that's that done. I actually studied science greatly when I was at school. I even wanted to become a scientist, so naturally I learned a lot about science such as; chemistry, physics, space and of course - evolution. I even chose a school that excelled in science because I wanted to learn so much about science. It didn't work out and I went to a new school as I sought to learn more in art, a talent which I have possessed since childhood and sure enough, I learned much more in my art which generally is religious to landscape art.
Long story short. I once studied evolution and read EVERYTHING about it. It's once I studied everything in it that I realized that it was untrue. There's just a bunch of scientists trying to convince people by passing it of as fact when there's so many contradictions in the baseless theory. The evolution theory is basically like a bad cake with good icing on it. It looks good and may even taste good as you begin to eat it but the true colors will show once you dig deeper and as I dug deeper into evolution, I saw many contradictions and holes in the theory such as:
*If we evolved from apes, where are the fossils showing so? One incomplete fossil known as Lucy is not enough proof for evolution when so many more should exist.
*How did birds evolve? Would birds evolve from dinosaurs jumping up and down and then having children which would do the same which would eventually leed to one dinosaur being born with gliders which would evolve into wings one day? Scientists themselves haven't offered any explanations and no fossils exist showing the process of any dinosaur to bird. Archaeopteryx - that evolutionists claim is proof of their theory - is simply an extinct bird with no fossils linking them to evolving from anything.
Though you are free to believe in evolution and even though God probably doesn't care if you believe in it or what The Bible says (the important messages are about being good and also about Jesus), I'll say this:
If God is as The Bible says; all powerful and knowing. Why would it take him billions of years to create a human? I don't see why God would be playing around with us. That eliminates him being a god who has everything planned out. Do you picture him making angels evolve from something too? God says that he will cause chaos during the end times, earthquakes will start, hurricanes will be summoned and the stars will die all in the same time. If God can do all of that, can he not create a human within seconds as Genesis describes?
I understand that you believe in evolution and Creation at the same time, but I would recommend some Christian science books(Non evolution) to read along with them. You will probably find that under closer examination evolution doesn't fit with scientific evidence. Even less so without God. I still don't understand the people who say we just "Evolved" out of nothingness without God. It's common sense, lets say you have a whole bunch of nothing. Check back later, and what do you have now? Nothing. Okay, how about in a billion years. What do you have now? Still nothing. Strange, huh?
Not saying that's what you believe, I'm just saying that it really doesn't make any sense when you take God out of it.
