This group is exactly what the name implies. A group for people who are Christians. If you're a Christian then please join us. We're a place on ModDB for Christians to gather and talk. It's as simple as that.
Firstly, I personally don't express my rage against God, or Religion. If ever I am anger, I normally either blame myself (mainly because, most of the time, I do stuff that annoy me... xD) or the person who made my angry. Luckily, not many people do make my angry lol. That is just me, however. But it is inaccurate to generalize this (just think of the generalization made by Atheism against Religion, same thing here).
Secondly, to debate against God we must look through the eyes of a believer. How do we debate against nothing? We can't do that. We must consider God exists as the Bible says, and then from that disapprove his existence through either Science or common sense. It would be rather hard, after all, to debate against nothing, eh? xD.
If we did, it would be rather boring... You'd just be saying "God does exist!" and we'd be saying "He doesn't" and on and on it goes...
So although I admire C.S Lewis (Narnia is a classic... xD) I must disapprove of this particular quote.
Sorry if my comment is not wanted here. You can delete it if it really annoys, though, but this isn't against Religion itself, so I thought it'd be ok.
I never suggested it sums up all atheists. The way I looked at the quote was C.S Lewis saying that atheists speak about God and complain about the things he could of done and the "evil" things he did do and yet they believe he doesn't exist so why spend so much time complaining about something you don't believe in? That's how I looked at the quote and while it may not sum up every single atheist, it sums up a few who do indeed spend time complaining about God while proclaiming to be "free" when they spend more time ranting and raving about God than the believer does.
People often tell me that they're atheists because they cannot accept the idea of a God who sends unbelievers to hell. The only problem about their reservations against God is that we aren't talking about the same one! The God they refer to is vengeful and arrogant, and who kills people who upset him. The God I believe in is one who *actually* cares about what happens to us, not some freak in the clouds trying to get a fan group. People often try to use Christianity for their own ends, but that itself proves that they aren't real Christians, because a true Christian is not willing to let money or politics get in the way of his work for God and mankind.
I concur that saying "I don't believe in ANY God because THIS one is mean" is a bit ridiculous. Personally, I just try to use logic and reasoning here; there's no real evidence to back it up, thus there's no real reason to believe in one, and thus I don't.
Still you misunderstand then. You can disbelieve all you want, it doesn't change the fact that you're spending most of your time ranting about it. Perhaps deep down you doubt atheism?
but how can a doubt atheism?
doubting atheism= doubting nothing
its like dividing by zero
if i do that it may rip a hole in the universe!
...ok i am done now,
always liked C.S. Lewis, don't agree with this quote though, its a generalization that i don't think is based in fact. but it doesnt matter anyways.
time to wander on back to the atheist page,
bye
I do have to speak out against this quote...

We criticize the religious texts and your perception of god. You can do that without said god being real.
Here's the interesting question though:
Which kind of God do you not believe in?

It kinda of is based on fact when you atheists launch crusades against God and his supposed "crimes" in The Bible.
