This is from a game with "Tom Clancy´s" on the title, right?
Tom Clancy's End War.
And it isn't even a Ion cannon but a laser satellite.
Cool game, I digged the voice command stuff, but my laptop couldn't run it beyond 8-10 fpss (5 minutes missions took about 30 minutes WTF?)
wasn't it a plasma thingy?
I think this is actually the Kinetic Bombardment control sattelite :P
still it vary cool for it to be living on
I may say that this satellite is imba. Look at the size of the explosion. That would be the death of millions of people in one shot.

ive been playing bf2142 XD thats funny.
maybe the enemies were in germany and too many of them were there so they got desperate and nuked germany.
Actually it isn't exploding Germany but rather the satellite intercepting ICBMs being launched either against Europe or USA,since they both have a space based ICBM shield (similar to the Regan Era Star Wars program) that pretty much rendered all Ballistic missiles useless.
