Always thought this game would work better with a gamepad since there's so much platforming in it. Never could get the hang of this game with a mouse and keyboard. so i can't wait.

It's good that console gamers will get a chance to play the game, though I am a bit concerned about the controls.
There is some precision mouse work in the game, the mining in particular that may not translate well to a gamepad.
With a mouse you can choose to mine specific single blocks that are several blocks into a wall for example, I'm not sure how you would go about doing that with a gamepad.
Don't get me wrong, I hope they figure out a way that works, I'm just not sure what it's going to be.

It also feels a bit like they are moving on without finishing with the pc version.
I haven't played in a few months but as of the last time I did, there still wasn't an integrated way to host or join a friend's hosted game without using something like hamachi.
You can do it fine if you are in the same house, on the same network but doing it over the net between houses, hamachi was a requirement for that.
It worked but it was an extra hassle that there really wasn't a good reason for and I haven't heard of the issue being addressed.
Obviously this is something they will have to solve for consoles since they can't run hamachi and the fact that they are going to solve it for a new audience before solving it for the original one is a bit of a slap in the face.
It will be an even bigger one if they don't solve the issue for pc gamers while solving it for console gamers.

i'm also concerned about the mining. sometimes it was hard to pick a single block with a mouse. maybe they will add some type of sticky cursor. of course, after you've used a thumbstick for a while, you can become fairly accurate with it. i'll definitely be getting this when it comes out.

I hope the pc version gets the same "update" that the consoles will have.
