Year of Mod & Indie Love
2007 was a great year for gamers, 2008 is looking even better for developers - we're excited, so we have changed ModDB's theme to show our love.

Our indie game and mod development mantra "creativity is KEY" is something we have held close to our heart at ModDB.com for many years now, but have never officially discussed. In 2008 we are hell bent on changing this as we set out to celebrate innovation in mod and indie game titles. We are seeking titles that push the boundaries and try something different - commemorating the rise of sims mods and the growing popularity of anime themed titles.
We cannot hide our love of the companion cube and everything it and Portal stands for (simplicity, creativity and fun) any longer. This title begun its days as the basic indie game Nebacular Drop only to become something so much more. We won't shoot you companion cube.
This is why we have decided to mix things up in 2008 and celebrate what we are now officially naming YOMIL "Year of Mod & Indie Love". To show we are serious, we have ditched the sites default *boring red* theme and replaced it with something much more pink and nice. If the new theme looks messed up - do a CTRL-F5 to refresh your browsers cache. Enjoy ~ Mod DB crew.

Anime ESF, Modb team WTF. They have been out for like almost 10 years now, lol. Look at DBS Moddb.com - Way better game and on source, not ot mention the great Audio and Custom 35 Song Original Sound Track created for the game - Moddb.com
DBS has had over 14,000+ downloads so far, from our december release, way more than esf has had. :P

Lol, DBS will never beat ESF. Nor in quality, fun, and definitely not in # of downloads. The fact that it uses a much more advanced engine while being an ugly piece of crap proves my point.

ESF is kind of old now, same with good old BFP. DBS seems like it is coming alone nice, fan base is growing a lot.

The pink isn't an "I'm gay" pink, and the use of the hearts are quite subtle. Props to whoever designed this theme. (A little late for Valentine's though eh?)

I like that they have kept the theme. It has this rather calming effect. Not like that red theme which makes one feel either scared or angry, because that is what red can do to a man.
