Report article Text formatting update

For a while now the ModDB text editor has been difficult to work with. Read on to find out what we are doing about it.

Ok I'm going to say now that we have hopefully fixed 99% of the weird text-formatting issues. Unfortunately while fixing these issues - a lot of existing news and content posted on Mod DB from December 2007 onwards has been modified and doesn't look quite like you may have originally intended. We've done our best to getting all posts looking good, but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you browse through your news and content via your personal profile (i.e. heres mine) and fix up any text which doesn't look quiet right.

The new text editor should be simple and easy to use *fingers crossed* and whilst there still are issues with spacing, linebreaks and pasting in content - these issues only occur in certain browsers due to various (hard to avoid) javascript quirks. As always contact us if you have questions or a bug to report.

Hooray for this kind of thing.

Hooray for code tags!

(I assume the word character limit issue has been defeated too, come to think of it?)

Yes that issue should be resolved now to. Creating a WYSIWYG editor that accurately formats text, keeps posts clean and helps users isn't easy believe me - especially when there are 5+ browsers to support.

I've fixed 10+ bugs already and no doubt there are still 10 more, but i'll keep working through them and hopefully create the ultimate system.

Is there a class for image captions? Moddb.com

Also, blockquotes get extra <br />s added beneath them.
