Hello, I'm new on ModDB. I'm learning 3DS Max and Photoshop now. Then I want to do my weapons for BF2 but I don't now how can I import a new 3D model to BF2 and texture it. Can someone help me about this problem?
you need to use poe 9 3ds max version in order to both export and import. but it does only support 32 bit version of 3ds max. :-)
I found it already but still I can't use it. I read it lots of tutorials but after starting export setup, I find nothing in the mod file. If you show me how can I use this, it will be better for me. Thanks for replying.
uhm i would love too but i don't have 3ds max installed at this time. but when you use 3ds max 9 32 bit as an eample hit the bf2 tool which will be on your action bar above the 4 screens that shows what you made or can make. when you hit the battlefield 2 plugin use the utility selection and hit mesh import and then all you got to do is find the model you want imported to 3ds max and for export well that's a whole other story :-)

I've an idea for a mod and i want to make a test minimod for start it, but the main problem is i've no idea how or where to start, but i'm ready to learn everything about basic modding in bf2. As i said, i don't want to make a big mod, for start a small test minimod for make the basics and learn. My idea of mod is based on a ficticious military conflict in the center of Asia (specially Kazakhsthan) with two alliances and with a total of 6 playable teams (3 for alliance) fighting for national freedom of the central asian countries or control their main production, having a large choice of weapons for different type of combat, inside different scenarios with different scales, with a total combat with air, water and land vehicles, to close quarters only infantry. I will be really grateful if someone decides to help me or teach me the basics of modding, i really want to try to make this project, i tried to learn in tutorials, but is useless, they don't tell me anything new, i'm ready to start, but i need a hand on this.
I am not a good modder either (yet), but to start with, go to Forgotten Hope's webpage and look for their modding tutorial, it can teach you a lot about mapping, texturing and modelling. I suggest you learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop to texture stuff.
