Seems a bit too much to me. Remember when you actually had to be at your computer to play commander? Now any jack off with a tablet can be in the highest ranking position on the battlefield. Someone who plays battlefield on their tablet obviously has way too much time on their hands.
1st, it's a strategy game on a tablet, a game genre that the platform sorely needs more of. And second, I actually like that they're separating Commander Mode from the rest of the game. It means anyone now has the chance to enjoy the Commander Mode, instead of it being restricted to the guys that've played nonstop since launch, and since the Commander isn't actually on the battlefield, people aren't gonna ignore their Commander responsibilities like what happened too often in BF2.
hmmm...a return to the origins of BF...or a bastardization of one of the greatest game-play mechanisms introduced?
Only time will tell.
