This is a group for those who have broken their mental chains of religion, as well as those who have never been bound by them in the first place. As there being no way to prove the existence of deities, nor anything of superstition. Anything anyone says about any such superstitious notion is a guess and your guess is as good as mine.

I am not sure whether I am considered an atheist or agnostic.
I believe that there MIGHT be a god, but I am not sure.
I live my life as if there was no god; I do good things because I love doing good things and I don't do bad things because I don't like doing bad things.
I had been a Christian for 19 years. I started questioning my religious beliefs in the summer of 2014, till I completely lost my faith a few days ago.

There *might* very well be a god or gods, just as there *might* not be, asserting one idea or another is foolish, the best thing you can do is live your life pragmatically as if there were no god.

There are more than a few of us here that have been Christians at one point or another, so you are not alone there.

Yes, these are exactly my thoughts; there might be a god, but there might not be. That is why, I live my life as if there was no god. :)
Well, I am glad that I'm not alone, here. :D

There *might* be a dinosaur hiding under your house, just as there *might* not be. :D It's up to an individual what sounds more reallistic to him.

Also, I have no idea why such as term as "agnostic" exists. We Atheists are never 100% sure nor we say that there is no god(s), but that chances for that are extremely low - and that's why we better chosse not to live as there is one or more of them (just like monsters, zombies, vampires, ghosts, etc.).

So, agnostics and atheists are the same thing. Those "agnostics" living as there is god(s), but still doubting some particular stuff from their holy books, are still *believers*, but not as stiff as others.

Oh how witty.

The term "agnostic" is used to describe a person who does not know the existence of a god or gods, and thinks such things cannot be known, or is undecided, just as a gnostic believes the opposite of an agnostic. There can be agnostic theists, as well gnostic atheists by the way. Not everything is as black and white as you seem to think, it's pretty narrow-minded to think otherwise.

ReflexF.N. Aug 1 2015 replied:

There are two kinds of agnostics, as Richard Dawkins describes; ones who believe that knowing whether god is real or not is impossible, and ones who believe that it MIGHT be possible for science to someday discover whether god is real or not. I am the latter; I believe that it could be possible for us to someday discover whether god is real or not.
This a summary of how I think:
I don't KNOW whether god is real or not, but I BELIEVE that he is NOT real. There is a difference between "knowing" and "believing"; belief is your personal opinion, and it doesn't have to be a fact. So, I think that I would be considered more as an atheist rather than an agnostic, because I "BELIEVE" that there is no god. However, we can't know that for certain, but we someday might be able to.

Well, then in that case, I am considered an atheist, as I do not believe in any god or any religion, and I also believe that the chances of there being a god are quite low.
