This is a group for those who have broken their mental chains of religion, as well as those who have never been bound by them in the first place. There being no way to prove the existence of a deities, nor any other superstition. Anything anyone says about any superstitious notion is a guess and your guess is as good as mine.

Please tell me it's just a parody or a satire and not actually made by a guy trying to advertise religion to teens?

The story of Christ is very atheistic if you think about it. A guy goes against the normal religious view and is meaninglessly tortured and killed for threatening the establishment. Amazing how so many contradictions are in the bible.

Actually Lt.Dann is right. Original story of Jesus (a.k.a God of Sun) is atheistic. Old values like equality, moral code etc. can be seen with modern communist values. But problem is, many people back then started using ideas of Jesus to control society.

How's that atheistic? At the time, when Christianity was a minority off-shoot from Judaism, it was common for Christians to be persecuted and executed for heresy, and the Christ tale mirrors this.

There's actually a good case to be made for it not being the case in the Roman Empire. The book generally outlines the differences between those persecuted for being christian and christians who were persecuted. It also covers some of the embellishments and exaggerations and compares martyrdom stories from Christianity with other religions to identify similarities and differences.

My pet peeve is that she rarely explains or provides evidence for her points which prevents them from being valid. And when they are valid, she tends to put them across rather poorly.

She has nothing new nor interesting to say, her view points are more or less copy and pasted from other mindless drones from YouTube which were redundant and Irrelevant to begin with.

Most of her videos just boil down to: "WAAAH! I hate religion! Now watch me stroke myself on camera as I spew forth irrelevancies and appear to be intelligent!"

I agree with the overused talking points that so many other people have made, but she was raised Christian and ever since she converted to atheism, she's been finding out how many lies she was raised to believe and was treated by her family terribly after she no longer believed in god, so I think her anger of religion comes from experiences in her own life.
