This is a group for those who have broken their mental chains of religion, as well as those who have never been bound by them in the first place. There being no way to prove the existence of a deities, nor any other superstition. Anything anyone says about any superstitious notion is a guess and your guess is as good as mine.

This is a pretty funny conversation concerning Atheists in general. I got some kicks out of the comments here.

Out of the categories available I think Education is best fitting.

Tsk tsk Religion such a terrible thing! Always bound by laws, confusing, and misleading at every turn...Hmm I wonder if there is God without religion.

What if God created man...And man created religion?

Only why faith must always have to do anything with religion? Why "spiritual" is a synonym of "religious"? They have nothing to do with each other.

Faith = power to make your dreams come true.
Natural faith. Also that faith that lets you build your house all by yourself, brick by brick. Endurance.

Spiritual = experience-based. (Bungee jumping is very spiritual.)

What if Infinite Intelligence created Infinite Energy... and Infinite Energy invented thinking? LOL. :-)

Went to 2 Christian schools (basic school and high school), but they weren't that extreme. It's more that I'm annoyed by all the fanatics of religions who, as you perfectly mention, think that their way is the only way, and all other people must die/burn in hell/whatever they think their book says about non-believers. That, and that religion is the cause of many wars in our history, but we still have it.
On the other hand, I do respect someone believes when they respect mine. That may be the reason why I don't feel 100% like many of the members here, as they see someone with a religion the same way as a fanatic Christian/Muslim sees a non-believer.

I think it's the fanatics that really annoy us (besides a few other reasons). It's hard to make fun of the fanatics when we have to end up having to attack the faith itself. The problem is the fanatics are the ones who preach their faith and act like it is the only answer and everyone else is wrong. You can't make fun of their faith without insulting a greater group of people who also think similarly (they just don't vocalize it like crazy).

Still, I personally find it distasteful from experience to not doubt your religion you were brought up in. I remember clearly doubting a few times back, but I was told to stay quiet and NOT doubt it. Obviously this just leads to more skeptical behavior and that is why I withdrew. Just because a religion preaches of love and happiness means it is right...a few other religions I know also have done that. They all also seem to promise some kind of hell/heaven upon doing different things in life... That's the one thing I find the most confusing.
