This is a group for those who have broken their mental chains of religion, as well as those who have never been bound by them in the first place. There being no way to prove the existence of a deities, nor any other superstition. Anything anyone says about any superstitious notion is a guess and your guess is as good as mine.

Anyway I had a discussion earlier with my sister to see what more she would drone on about.

I talked about a ghost story I heard some time back I thought was funny and she said instantly "THERE'S NO GHOSTS...THEIR DEMONS!" I asked her "Well, how do you know?" and she goes off saying how she knows because of logic.

I laugh inside and ask her "What logic?" She says, "The Bible's logic..." and I said "What...how do you confuse faith with logic?" then she finally says, "I know it because it is!"

Later on my Dad comes downstairs hearing about our discussion (he's the one who's got my sister all brainwashed), and he instantly says "You shouldn't talk about the supernatural without me around to guide you..." I told her we got into a small argument because of how she confused faith and logic. He tells us that our answers are only in the Bible and everything outside of it "are evil" OOOOOooooOOO! Scary!

During this entire time I was in a constant FACEPALM...it was sad. Ok, here's the problem like I said earlier I had with religion and the people who take it seriously: They believe every ******* word and have no idea what they're taking in.

My sister doesn't even read the Bible yet she hears everything from my Dad. I just want to tell her that she should open her mind and believe what SHE wants to believe but all she believes is the ******** he feels like we should know. He's also this type of Dad that really wants to push it down our throats (we have absolutely no choice, I was the only one that was able to 'sneak' out of the closet because I was smart enough to realize what was going on).

Basically, our Dad is installing all his beliefs into us (which include saying the outside world is the 'Devil' and will try to trick you any way it can by distorting his 'facts').

This is getting on my nerves and I cannot take it. I guess this is why I'm slowly moving toward Atheism in my hate of the ignorant and the mentally challenged Christians....

I deleted SithMasterJason's comment, before that I copied it and sent him a personal message directing him to the Unity of Beliefs group along with his entire comment included. I am simply maintaining our little fortress of heresy.

These "Imagine No Religion" pictures are actually a bit odd, because they seem to be out of a proper context. What was meant by that?

Osama bin Laden (sometimes along with Jihadists, Jihad boys, the Taliban causing much pain locally) and his activities are considered ANTI-islamic.

So if Osama bin Laden's actions are anti-islamic, then "imagine no religion" means actually "imagine destruction of these towers by atheistic/heretical anti-islamic Jihadists" which came true.

It's like you actually wanted it. You could do something with "Imagine No Heresy" or "Imagine No Extreme Beliefs" but who's going to judge what's heresy, and what extreme beliefs really are, exactly? One can abuse power to define them.

From what I hear...people like Osama Bin Laden are a much more radical form of Islamic people that follow their Qua'ran (IDK about spelling) to the letter.

Somewhere in the Qua'ran I remember hearing that they must kill all non-Muslims if they do not convert. People like Osama Bin Laden actually believe it literally.

I'm not saying all Muslims are like that, but until then every religion that has scriptures like that should be under close watch for signs.

But, if there would not be Islam, there would not be any Anti-Islam either..

And really, because of religion, people have been killed for many years, i can't see the use in religion, because it only brings false hope.

It's like believing in Santa Clause, or Tooth fairy.

But you see, whether it's fairies, science, or God, you can kill for that or other reason - whether religions and antireligions existed/exist or not.

Did religions invented murders? Robberies? Thievery? Crime? No. Just like secular systems, they invented (religious) systems to deal with the moral/social side of humankind, to punish whatever was considered wrong by them.

If you are so sure that ANY KIND of morals is something to be removed, then consider releasing all prisoners from all prisons before those people get healed & reintroduced to the society - it'd prove very bad for everybody else.

What we needed and still need is education.

I honestly believe when you are first born you lack morals. Instinct is the primary drive until you are taught them. I even go so far in believing that since they are learned, good/evil might just be THAT; mentally created from morals though I could be wrong. Good/evil can still exist even without presence of a God in some way.

Some groups (religious or otherwise)will promote negative actions. If you hang out with crack users you're more likely to try crack or thieves you're more likely to steal something.

I do agree though. The pictures seem pretty pointless since humans are a violent race like most other organisms. More education would help the cause for world peace but in no way will that goal ever be reached.
