By many Sam is interpreted literally which is why i used it. Funny how when something is contradictory to what you believe you simply 'interpret' it a different way. Also funny how you interpret this passage but yet every 'prophetical' passage is literal to you...

Just out of curiosity what do you think about all the bible quotes about Atheist such as myself?

"And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul, but that whoever would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman." (2 Chronicles 15:12-13)

Is there a way to interpret this so it is NOT calling for the death of all non-believers (including women and children)?

What else does it mean? Stop using excuses to dissmis yourself from this error. Lol, common sense that that verse means what it says???

Chronicles means what it says. People are put to death. Have you read the whole of Chronicles? Lol shall I put you in a reading lesson? IT is not GOD calling this law, it is the people during Asa's reign
0 They assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign. 11 At that time they sacrificed to the Lord seven hundred head of cattle and seven thousand sheep and goats from the plunder they had brought back. 12 They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul. 13 All who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman. 14 They took an oath to the Lord with loud acclamation, with shouting and with trumpets and horns. 15 All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest on every side.

Sounds to me here it is telling the history of those people. It is not the LORD saying whosoever does nto look for me is put to death if that is what you imply. LOL
Extracting verses without reading the rest of the info just because it sounds "funny: is not going to cut it to find your "immorality of the bible claim" unfortuantely for you.

What else does ti mean? Well in every other translation i could find on the internet the word 'pillars' and not 'foundations'

Bible.cc

Your interpretation is still valid i suppose. But i've seen way more people use that to claim the world is literally on pillars, or not moving. In this context you interpreted it as meaning scientific laws (something you were trying to argue God made) so it's only natural you saw it as meaning that. My point was that many others interpret it literally which is why the Bible is fallible.

Take a look at my comment above with the quote from Chronicles and tell me where exactly i said God was doing this or said this.

Well i can't argue with your superior analysis. Well not really. So after sacrificing 7,700 animals for no reason (except for the fact that God likes dead animals), everyone in his kingdom who did not want to worship the God of Israel were put to death (it says that right there), then everyone found God and God was pleased and gave them rest.

So in some utterly perverse way you are correct, God did not kill everyone who didn't worship him or he didn't command them to be killed, instead he just rewarded those who took it of their own volition to kill innocents.

So i apologize for 'extracting' the verse, i missed out the part where they killed animals (very important) and also the part where God rewards them for killing non-believers (That's the heart of the matter really).

now that I look back, sorry for the arrogant reply. I am tired, and what I hate most is when fundamentalists pluck biblical verses from the sky and say LOOK DUHH HOWW BAD THIS IZZZ without reading the whole darn chapter. I am a little dissapointed that you managed to do that, despite your apparent intellect. sorry

If God just gave us the answers that many imply, we would not find it as pleasing and wonderful when studying the Bible. Thus with srudy you can have a stronger relationship with God's word. Bible study FTW :D
