To be completely honest when i heard these news a few days ago it really hurt me.

Every day, ISIS executes somebody or does some new act of barbarism but i'm kinda used to it. Don't get me wrong, all the things they do are utterly horrible but it's nothing new, but when i watched the video of them destroying all those statues i could feel my blood boiling and in that moment i wanted to put them all against the wall and execute them myself.

I mean come on, some of these statues were almost 4000 years old, from a civilization long gone, why would they do this? This is not something that we can get back, a part of ancient history is now lost forever.

This is the only time when i say that the whole Europe and America must unite and wipe out these monsters once and for all, no mercy.

Not only Europe and the US, the whole world should unite against them.

It doesn't matter if you are pro-rebel or pro-government in the Syrian Civil War, we all agree that ISIS should be destroyed. ISIS should become nothing but a dark part of history, which would be remembered by nothing but the blood of all their followers splattered on the desert of Syria/Iraq and everywhere else they managed to infect.

Barbarians. This sort of thing is the mark of savages who have no greater goal than to sack whatever their equivalent of Rome is and keep on burning everything yet over the horizon.

Typical of those mindless savages. It's about time we put those wretched barbarians down, because today it might be a museum, tomorrow it could be a Gothic cathedral, a Pasha's palace or other great feats of architectural magnificence they're plundering and destroying.

There is a little possibility of a silver lining; apparently, some of the statues are actually plaster replicas as the legitimate ones were moved for safety. It MIGHT not be as bad as it seems.

That said, the Assyrian Winged Bull was destroyed and it was the legitimate one.

Kill, torture, and rape all the people you want, but break artifacts? Savages!

The amount of sarcasm in your comment is too damn high!

Kidding aside, here's the deal.

Acts like killing, torture, rape, prosecution and other things were common in the middle east for a thousand years now, it is so common that people actually didn't give a **** anymore and simply forgot about it, it wasn't on this level but it still happened.

People only started noticing it again after 9/11, when 'murica and their "friends" invaded Iraq and Afghanistan because they wanted "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people", and more recently the **** that happened in Libya.

If you think about it, every time 'murica and their coalition friends stick their noses where it doesn't belong, horrible **** is to follow when they leave, so they are to be blamed for all that is happening now.

Sure, Saddam and Al Qaeda were bad, but **** like this didn't happen on Saddams watch because everyone was ******* scared of him. Instead of going for the lesser of two evils, they actually destroyed the lesser evil and now the greater evil is wreaking havoc there, capturing towns day after day and doing all this horrible ****.

Destroying of ancient artifacts don't happen so often and it's truly sad, it usually happens when one civilization completely conquers another, and last time that happened was such a long time ago.

Sure, nazis burned books and stuff but they never destroyed something of this caliber as ISIS did, instead they stole everything during WW2 but now majority of the items are recovered and there's still a chance the rest can be too.

ISIS is so spread around now, they can be found everywhere in the middle east and beyond, if we don't stop them who knows what they might destroy next, hell, tomorrow they could blow up the Pyramids and the Sphinx because their version of Quran doesn't approve of them.

Don't let my sarcasm lead you to think I don't care. One thing that bothers me to this day was that the first fossil finds of the dinosaur Spinosaurus had been found by German paleontologists in Africa. It was such a rare and fantastic find, but the museum was bombed in an Allied raid and the fossils were completely destroyed. Never again has such finds been made on Spinosaurus, only fragments. All I'm saying is that if the things they did before this didn't make you hate them enough and it was only until they infringed upon museums, then maybe you should rethink what you truly care about. I'm sure you'd be a little ticked if the police were protecting the museum while you and your family were being hacked to death.

I believe you misunderstood me and that's my fault as i probably didn't express myself properly.

I started hating ISIS long before the museum destruction. First time i heard of ISIS i went on the internet to see what's this fuss was all about, as Isis is a goddess from the polytheistic pantheon of Egypt, so i was completely confused. As nothing on the internet is hidden forever nor is it removed properly, i found what i was looking for within an hour.

What i found is...well i have no words to express what it is, i don't think human race invented the word for it. It was a video where one of the ISIS monsters is very slowly cutting the guys head off with a kitchen knife, yes a ******* kitchen knife.

Now i'm not squeamish when it comes to dead bodies, i've seen my share during the 99's bombings of my country, but when i watched this video it made me very sad and i wanted to puke my guts out. The agony that man went through, you could see it on his face, during and after the deed was done.

Sure i wanted to kill them all right then, but then this video of the artifact destruction came and it awaken something inside of me. I'd call it being furious but it was more then that, it's like a blackout/bloodlust mixed with me wanting to bathe in their blood, i don't know if there's a word that can express how i'm feeling now. I know it sounds cheesy but it is what it is.

Anyway, long story short i hate them from the bottom of my heart, hell i even wanted to go there and fight against ISIS, even if i was to die in day, but several problems occurred, first being that i have no contacts i can trust to point me in the right direction, person trying to help me can easily turn out to be an ISIS member trying to send me to his friends so they can cut my head of, second problem being that if i do go there, somehow survive and get back to my country, i'd end up in jail for a very long time, even tho fighting ISIS is a good thing, my country would consider me to be a mercenary.

Description

ISIS fighters have destroyed centuries old historical artefacts from the Mosul Museum. As a history student, I feel particularly enraged as part of the world's history has been destroyed. ISIS proves that they are pieces of sh*t once again.
