I'm quite sure this is from the first AC...so how could someone have confused it with real life? the animus was too buggy to render real life images when Desmond was at Abstergo. Animus 3.0 made the graphics look life like:D

A Danish television channel has admitted it mistakenly used an image from Assassin’s Creed in a report, believing it to be a photo of Syria.

The screenshot was used as a backdrop behind news anchor Cecilie Beck on February 26.
