Anomalous Mods Group Drones for UT3 Update news

Drones is a mutator for UT3 (similar to Relics) which allows players to use various automated 'Drones' which spice up play and add variety without giving any player a large advantage over others (e.g. there is no double damage drone!).

All the content is in UT3 (and has been for a while) and coding is going relatively smoothly so we're still aiming for a release before christmas. The drones are looking good with UT3's lighting and texturing:

 Now to reveal another Drone type:

AntiGravity Drone 

The yellow drone in the picture above is the AntiGravity or AG Drone. This drone is similar in some senses to the familiar jump boots with two main differences. Firstly, the drone acts all the time instead of just upon jumping - thus it massively reduces fall damage as well as allowing the user to jump stupidly high. Secondly, it doesn't lose its charge after x number of jumps, increasing its lifespan significantly.

However this comes with a downside - since the AG drone reduces the effect of gravity on the user you may end up an easier target while in the air than usual. And of course you have to watch out for leaping into vats of acid...
