Bandai Entertainment has posted an English-subtitled trailer for The Girl Who Leapt through Time, the 2006 award-winning anime film from Mamoru Hosoda, on the IGN entertainment website. The slice-of-life film follows a Tokyo girl who discovers her innate ability to leap back in time, but later realizes she must watch the consequences of her actions. The film is inspired by Yasutaka Tsutsui's classic children's novel of the same name. Bandai Entertainment announced
its license of the anime at the New York Anime Festival last December, and said that the film would have a limited theatrical release in North America. CMX announced at Comic-Con International last July that it licensed Gaku Tsugano's manga adaptation of the anime.
I highly recommend checking out the trailer. It was a great movie that I really got into. It made me laugh, but overall, it really made me think. I like that in a movie.
