I will probably get mass dislikes for this but whatever.
This show is cancer and I don't get how people can watch this without vomiting violently.
I will grant that the first episodes of the first season (Aincrad) where amazing, and I was expecting great things. They could have made the show much better, with say, 2-3 episodes per floor, but instead opted for a cheap 2 year time skip where MC apparently did jack ****. Then they went to that other game where incest is a thing and Kirito becomes a ******* tool. And now they're playing a game without swords, so why still call it SWORD art online.
To be honest I dropped the show after Aincrad, because it was getting just too cringy.

I do agree with you that first Sao had immense potential,and I am into swords fight as well.
Btw,kirito is using a lightsaber = sword.
I think this is still sao,but arcs are called aincrad,alfheim,gun gale.
Yes the incest arc was awful but honestly I'm finding Gun Gale arc to be decent though not great but decent, it's definitely not as awful as it's predecessor.
