Long, long time ago a king discovered a door to another world, which he opened. Once the door was opened the humans ran for their lives as demons started pouring out. The world beyond the door was the demon world where demons resided. The world was thrown into chaos , numerous humans were annihilated and the world was dyed red.
then, a certain king pleaded to god, asking for help. A brilliant light appeared through the heavens and the demons turned into smoke and disappeared. Afterwards special marks started appearing in certain humans the granted them special powers, all as if was god's gift. Thanks to this humans were able to fight the demons. People started calling them magicians and worshiped them. and so, peace was restored to the world once again.
But hey. did you ever wonder? Whether it really was god who granted the king's wish?... The one that granted the king's wish was not actually god... But the king of the demons.
After a mission gone awry, the doubtful main character, Rood, is sent to a famous magic school, Helios. Here, he must protect an important person's son who has a very bad time at the school. But nobody can imagine what awaits him.
Makes sense, only Satan would create magic and magicians to be worshipped isntead of God. So the plot basis is actually solid in this. All 3 Abrahamic religions denounce (or denounced at their time) magic aswell, so this sticks. Maybe I'll watch it just beacuse of this little nods to reallity.
