Guys, this is a group for people who like a America also. America is the best place on earth right now, with freedom of speech and many other rights. Go to a country (for instance Syria) and you wont find that. Yes America isnt what it used to be. Yes America has a bad President. But, one, things could be worse. AND it doesnt matter anyways. The u.s. was built on CHRISTIANITY, and because of that (and other things), I will ALWAYS follow it.

Yes, we were based on moderate christian ideals, but that is equally held with freedom of religion and seperation of church and state. I wouldn't have it any other way

CHRISTIANITY??? This country was supposed to be built on the idea of true freedom (or at least the idea of it anyway... we don't have anything like it today), and was NOT built on christianity.

"In God we trust."
Not built on Christianity? Yeah no, it really sort of actually was. :|

I'm curious to see who you all have support so far in the upcoming election next year, hell if I was American I'd be with Ron Paul the whole way (that is if he does decide to run) but that's just me.

Nothing gets done in our government, its just 2 main parties arguing over what should be done, then waiting for elections so they can have majority and overrule anyone elses opinions. There is no median in politics.

Besides, US is one of the only countries that uses Imperial system, even the country that made it switched to metric (england) Instead of having to memorize conversions why can't we just switch and go with decimals not fractions.

America has good virtues, it just lost its way.

They're both controlled by corporations. The Democrats are indecisive and discreetly pander to the corporations every whim via lobbyists. The Republicans/Teabaggers are all self elected slaves of the corporations.

I almost wish this horrible financial system crashed a few years ago when it had the potential to.
