So... they dumped him into the series for no other reason than to go "Oh look it's Tarkin! Ooooo! Take us seriously please!"? If so then shame on you, Georgie. Shame. Changing existing canon for fan service is a BAD idea.

Yeah. They put Tarkin in to "build" a relation ship between Anakin and Tarkin cause Tarkin was the only other person to order Vader around (besides Palpatine). THEY SAID THE EXACT SAME THING!!!! MY GOD!!! GET A LIFE PEOPLE!!!!!

what contradictions appear? It says he surrendered but knowing Tarkin Surrender was not a word to him.
Not contradictions, but plot holes. As you can see on the image, the writers of the wiki have no explanation as to how or why he re-enlisted, not to mention Tarkin was extremely distrustful of Jedi and very Xenophobic, raising questions as to why he would be assigned to a Lannik Jedi. Not contradictions, just plot holes that this series is poking into every other piece of existing canon.
are you really discussing about the live career of a character that wasn't aired more than about 20 min in the original trilogy? its just merchandising. i stopped comparing the old movies with the newer ones since the "2nd" episode came out. its the fiction of lucas, if he changes them then so it will be. the only "real" SW is in his mind. even worse this clone wars stuff seems to be from filoni who is someone completely else.
which is why I'm against it, if Filoni would have a bit more sense and stop doing whatever the F*ck he wanted to do I'd be fine with it, but Tarkins history and the History of Star Wars relies on the fans, all those comics, all those books, they have to be approved by Goerge, but now he's going back on his word and listening to Grima Worm- Dave Filoni.

They did the same with Ackbar. Seriously, they are just adding characters from the the original trilogy to make their stupid cartoon look better. Next thing you know, they'll put in Owen Lars or something!
