The A-10 sports a 30mm gun as well. The Raider has fewer rounds, true, but will put more of them on target, due to closer proximity to target. It IS slower, but it's also MORE maneuverable, being able to use asynchronous thrust of the rotors to twist and turn as needed.
This is going to be a bad-to-the-bone attack ship, and you can count on that, cause the guys on the ground will be!
30mm gun, at least five missiles and what I assume is nine barrel rocket launcher. The V-44 Blackfish from Arma III almost looks plausible.
Meh, wouldn't this thing be less maneuverable and less faster than a jet? Not the best choice for a CAS.
Speed and maneuverability isn't the point. This configuration emulates the AC-130 and that does CAS pretty well.
The A-1 Skyraider did pretty well at CAS as well..
For it's day yes, but it's loadout is a quite lacking to keep up with the AC-130 or A-10.
