Don Brooks, founder of the Liberty Foundation, the organization that spearheaded the plane’s restoration in 2004, said the seven people on board- comprised of crew members and volunteers who help with the foundation’s tours around the country- all were fortunate enough to walk away without serious injury.
“It’s a sad day but a good one in that no one was hurt. An airplane can be replaced.”

^Ditto

It will be very difficult to replicate parts to reconstruct it and even if you could it would still not be "original".

I saw a B-17 a few years ago at the imperial war museum in duxford a few years ago. I don't think it was the same one though.

Description

This was a WWII B-17 Flying Fortress called the "Liberty Belle" that toured all across the United States. Today it crashed and burned in a Illinois Corn Field. I had the honor to get up close and personal with this beautiful piece of history last October. Inquisitr.com
