About time China did some real carrier-ops, I still think they have a long way to go to match up to American experience with Aircraft Carriers though.

I think it won't take long. I am just a bit afraid of how will they use it. Right now, as British can't afford their carriers and USA will have the same (but much bigger) problem soon, Chinese started this program. What a coincidence. Time to learn a new language...

Saying you should learn a new language already is overreacting a little (Ironic as I'm Chinese and already know it), though the PLAN will definitely become a strong regional power, it most likely won't surpass American naval power

Regional power?? Sorry, but aircraft carriers are used to maintain control of area behind normal aircraft range. With today's carrier and jets you can hit whatever you want... as USA well know...

It's going to be a regional power as it's most likely not going to be able to venture out into the Alantic, it'll probably remain within the Pacific and Indian Oceans. It's safe to say that the Chinese will probably use their navy to put pressure on U.S aligned navies such as the ROKN and the JMSDF

I don't say they must be aggressive, but they would benefit from it soon.
