the strangest part is that all these things actually worked, they just never went into full production. Kinda weird how it took us 50 years to reach the same techlevel as the germans where developeing 1945 :S
Actually these entire German innovations were simply produced to awe the West in trying to make peace with them against the Soviets. In fact, the Soviets already had rocket planes, missiles, rocket weapons, etc but were not produced for war use. Ever hear of GIRD project in 1931? Bereznyak project? Or what about works of Tsiolkovsky who heavily influenced Von Braun in the creation of V1 missile?
I'm not familiar with this specific aircraft, but it's clearly powered by a jet engine, not a rocket. Me163s were awful, yes, but had the Soviets been able to build something to rival the Me262, or any of the German jets, I can assure you they would have.

Actually some of their planes could crash from no reason so it took us 50 years to perfect the tech level the Germans had in 1945! ;)
