A truly beautiful aircraft. Sure it had some major teething problems (structural failures), but it turned out alright.
Most of it's crashes were caused by the squared off windows which weakened at the corners, resulting in major structural breaks when flying a higher speeds.
I'm not totally sure though.
yeah the only problem was the square corners, but it took them 2 years of crashes and structural failures before they figured it out. Unfortunately, the bird was already in service with major airlines when the disasters started to roll in.
