I'm a fan of Age OF Empres 2: Conquerors. Ever since that became less popular, I played it only for nostalgia. My mom loves AoEIII, but she's playing Dragon Age: Origins.
I just thought of awesome idea for a mod: Age of Dragons, a Dragon Age RTS!
There's a hidden dragon in AoEII... maybe you could port it to make new air units? Since SW: Galactic Battlegrounds use air units and it's the same engine. :-D
I had an idea for an AOE3 mod before but that was before i knew how to mod the game... now that i do know how to mod it i don't have the time for it :P
once i changed the musketeer locomotor from 'land' to 'air' and this made them able to walk on land... even under-water!

Hey guys, great idea for a group. I've been anticipating an aom sequel for far too long. I'm still hopefull. I'd also like to see a return to the ancient setting of the first aoe, i have fond memories of the 'Holy Man' scenario. The future of the 'age of' series is very uncertain though.
Yup... the 1st strategy... I still consider AoEII as the most balanced one - you could always beat knights with spearmen (and only with them), and so forth.
Mhmm, yup, the sequel would be awesome, but AFAIK, nothing has seen the light so far, no mention of a sequel, no mention of anything similar to AoE.
We can wait for 0 A.D. though. :-D
I think that AoE I and AoE II were the best in the series. All further games were far not like THESE ones. And, not to seem pessimistic but I'm not sure that future "Ages" can repeat (not even talking about exceed) their success.
Love Age of Empires and Age of Mythology. And I´m still waiting for a sequel...
