In the history of video games, the eighth generation is a term to describe the next iteration of video game consoles that are expected to follow the current seventh generation: Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3, and Nintendo's Wii. It also describes handheld game units released in the similar timeframe. The Nintendo 3DS was released on March 27, 2011 and Sony's PlayStation Vita was released on February 22, 2012 in North America.
PC owners will have to wait a little longer on Assassin's Creed III

Ubisoft has finally come with a secure date for the PC edition of Assassin Game Assassin's Creed III.
While the console version of the game, at least for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, released early 31 October, the PC owners find themselves in waiting for the next one month, to 23 november. U Wii version still has not got any date, but the game is expected to be among the launch titles for Nintendo's upcoming console.
