The 501st Legion, also known as the 501st Battalion during the Clone Wars and later known as "Vader's Fist" and the Five Hundred and First, was an elite unit of clone troopers commissioned by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine during the Clone Wars that later became a stormtrooper unit. Made up of units like Torrent Company, the 501st fought in many battles, such as the Battle of Teth and the Battle of Coruscant, becoming one of the most well-known legions. In 19 BBY, the 501st became Darth Vader's personal unit as he led them during Operation: Knightfall, in which the clones helped take down the Jedi, whom they believed to be traitors to the Republic.

Ok, I'd be lying if I said I'm not a fan of this.
Too bad Palpatine wasn't fond of women warriors.
Well, dark troopers are droids, so technically this isn't a woman...
Correction.
Various Clone Troopers and veterans were experimented on and given cybernetics, they were known as the phase 0 Dark Troopers. They were before droid troopers.
The experimentation was something like a horror movie as most limbs were replaced with cybernetic limbs and enhancements. Sometimes over 70% of the body.
Main organs, torso and head usually remained most intact.
Suicide was common among those who were the test subjects.
Do you have a link to the source? I had no idea about that. I always suspected dark troopers from Battlefront were indeed human but never really looked into it.
